Every engagement is defined before it starts — deliverables, ownership of intellectual property, and the form the results take when they reach you. No open-ended retainers, no ambiguity about who owns what.

  1. Scope

    We agree on the technical target, the interfaces and the constraints in a written statement of work. IP ownership is stated explicitly, per project, before any work begins.

  2. Develop

    Taju Labs leads the development, working with a team drawn from our own resources, yours, and specialist external partners where a project needs them.

  3. Transfer

    Results are handed over as a device master record — optionally with the full design history file — so your organization can manufacture, certify and maintain the product independently.

Taju Labs was founded by two electrical engineers whose careers converged on the same question: why does so little brain- and body-sensing technology ever become a product?

Sebastian Kallenbach

Sebastian has spent more than fifteen years developing active medical devices up to class IIb and III, from implantable and extracorporeal cardiac support systems to multi-spectral endoscopy platforms. He has led electronics departments, run development programs with teams across several international partners, and taken products through CE certification and FDA submissions. At Taju Labs he owns commercialization, program and project management, regulatory supervision and business development.

Dr. Alexander von Lühmann

Dr.-Ing. Neurotechnology & Machine Learning

Alexander heads the Intelligent Biomedical Sensing Lab at TU Berlin's Machine Learning department and BIFOLD and is a visiting researcher at Boston University's Neurophotonics Center. He has more than fifteen years of experience in development of wearable neurotechnologies and signal analysis using machine learning across positions in both industry and academia. He was Chief Science Officer and R&D Director at NIRx Medical Technologies, and previously CTO of Crely Healthcare. He sits on the board of the fNIRS Society and contributes to the international ISO/DIN fNIRS standard. At Taju Labs he owns the technology vision, the technology stack and the transfer of research results into the company.
